Not overly optimistic about this.

No movement at all, 45 minutes in.

They're noisy in Upside Down.

It's not like their batsmen need distracting today, do they?

Re: Australia V England second test Pink ball Adelaide
Not seen a ball of today but a run out and three batsmen getting to 40 and out before 55 sounds like some wasted opportunities
That said being sent in on an overcast day with two rain delays and ending 4 down could be worse.
Ideally will be hoping to bat towards dinner and have England in as the lights go on so need these two batsmen to get through the new ball

Poor decision to send you in. England a fraction short but bowled ok and picked up wickets at intervals. The 9 overs lost against the new ball under lights tonight because of the rain could be huge. Lucky cunts.

Re: Australia V England second test Pink ball Adelaide
There were 30 overs bowled in the post dinner session.
So effectively the 9 overs were lost from the two daylight sessions which are usually regarded as better for batting.

Root has won both tosses so far. Lucky tosser.

This was supposed to be the Test which suited our bowlers most. It all looks pretty enough from the two bowlers that get the brand new nut, which is all that matters.

Bowled quite well today first session but they're still 300 odd for 6, wrong decision without doubt.

I wasn't expecting much from England in this series, and they're delivering even less.

All the signs are there for another England batting collapse. After the Aussies show how to score big runs.

Re: Australia V England second test Pink ball Adelaide
Bowled well this morning with no luck at all. This session has been utterly abject, heads dropping everywhere, look like tuey know the chance has gone and all the hallmarks of previous thrashings now.

It's tough going being a West Ham and English cricket fan at the moment.

There should be a law against it.

England will be lucky to leave Australia with a 4-0 series loss.

Some test careers are coming to an end.

The pessimism here is bleak.

We haven't even been asked to follow on yet.

"You should always consider putting the opposition into bat but you should never actually do it.

No way have England looked remotely capable of taking 100 wickets in 5 tests over there.

Sad but true.

We need to bat BIGLY here.

Re: Australia V England second test Pink ball Adelaide
How many balls will Cook survive today?
1-30: dropped next time
31-60: not enough to change the game but will get another chance
61+: signs of a change in form, hopefully will encourage the others and change fortunes of the team.
